Okay honestly speaking without trying to sound too full of myself but that went up so smoothly. I even surprised myself a bit. I tried 315 twice but kept getting stuck at that infamous sticky point. Next time ;)
It’s a great feeling knowing that you just hit your 1RM weight (325#)FOR A TRIPLE. And it was less than 2 months ago when I established that 1RM:
325# for three.
My new 3RM for Low Bar Back Squat. :DDD
And I think I’m sticking with the whole headband/bandana scene.. The past two weeks I’ve had consistent buildup/swelling on my right eye because my smartass decided to wipe my eye to get rid of the sweat ..with my chalked up and nasty Mechanix gloves mid-WOD.
Didn’t have to wipe my eyes even after Hotshots 19 (41:21 Rx). NOT. EVEN. ONCE. #BythepowerofFroning
Hell, to be honest even I didn’t know that it’s been 6 months since I started coaching. But damn, what a great and surprising way for me to find out :D Corinne gave this giant bag filled with all of this before I left her place last night (I didn’t know what was in it beforehand) telling me to open it the next morning and even gave me instructions in a purple post-it note! One by one I open the wrappings up with the card first.. she knows how to write.. Filled the whole damn inside up haha and then a sick poster which makes me think she used to be a boss in high school projects (which I’m sure she was :P), two pictures of the most amazing girl ever and my second family, and of course.. BROWNIE CHEESECAKE BITES! Finger lickin’ good. Seriously.
I can’t believe it’s been already 6 months since I made the decisions that have led me here to where I am today. I can’t be anymore thankful enough for everyone that’s supported me, especially my best friend/girlfriend/swolemate/lover.

New CrossFit strength program I’m following! It’s a 7 week program that works on the basic movements for new 3/5 RM (In this case, I’m doing 3RM for the first cycle and see how much I like it) while working on keeping your lungs via short and heavy metcons.
Essentially, I SHOULD be having at the very least a 1# PR on all lifts every week. On the seventh week, 1RM’s will be tested (and most likely have new maxes).
Let’s see where this takes us. :D
Oh, and in terms of posting my logs and what not.. it’ll be done on a weekly basis from now on.
And I definitely need to update my damn PR stats page. Haha jeez my numbers back then..
EMOM - 2 Power Snatches : *Weight increases by 10# per minute. EMOM ends when you cannot perform said reps within the minute.
"Nutts": *Lieutenant Andrew Richard Nuttall, 30, from the 1st Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (1 PPCLI), based in Edmonton, Alberta, serving as a member of the 1 PPCLI Battle Group was killed by an improvised explosive device that detonated during a joint foot patrol near the village of Nakhonay in Panjwaii District, about 25 km southwest of Kandahar City on December 23, 2009. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Ethel Jane Nuttall.
15 Deadlifts 250#
25 Box Jumps 30”
100 Wallballs 20# @ 10’
400m Run *With a 45# plate
Time Completed: 25:36
Did a quick EMOM inbetween classes. I coached all morning so I wanted to get something easy in.
Even though I didn’t program the WOD itself (Hero WOD), it’s nice knowing that my coach/owner of the box/boss entrusted me to pick a WOD to do for Hero Fridays.
On the real though, it hurts to walk from those box jumps + wallballs. I feel like my damn inner quads are gonna seize up.
