This is what happened to me yesterday when I was waiting to leave my house at 7am, and I’m too lazy to stretch my lower body. Enter: Mirrorpic Douchebag.
*On a side note: I need to get more pairs of compression pants. I love working out with them. I took the sweats off once I felt warmed up enough. Nothing gets in the way when you’re doing stuff like cleans or snatches. I feel like Kenneth Leverich:
8x 245, dropset 10x 135, dropset 15x BW. *This was just to achieve the burn.
Romanian Deadlift: *Make sure to keep your back tight throughout the movement. Less back, more hamstrings.. if done correctly.
12x 225, dropset 17x 135.
Walking DB Lunge: *Knee does not step past toe when taking a step, other knee must touch ground. Total steps recorded.
Seated Leg Extensions: *Never thought I’d be doing this shit again… Anyhow, this is done EMOM (Every Minute On the Minute). Start with .5x BW and increase weight by one at the start of each minute. One set is 10 reps. Each set MUST be completed within 15 seconds. If not, finish the set, drop the weight back to .5x BW, and burn out for reps. THEN, hop off the seat SLOWLY and max out on air squats; ass to the fucking ground.
10x 140, dropset 13x 80.
Seated Leg Extensions II: *Part two of the burn. Pick a lighter weight (I used #40). You’re doing this one leg at a time (10 reps on the left, 10 on the right counts as 1 set), but position yourself where your foot is towards the center of the rig. Complete at LEAST 2 sets. Your rest time is when you’re performing the movement on your other leg. ;)
Probably the most detailed workout log I’ve done to date. Mainly for @h-elpmefeelaliveinside ;), but shit like this kinda makes me miss the typical workout routines. Don’t take this workout to heart though, I need to toy around with it more especially because I didn’t even do leg presses haha.
It was kinda half-assed, I’ll admit.. It’s been a while since I did a REAL leg workout at a gym. This workout had the word BURN emphasized, so I tried to remember shit that I used to do to get that feeling.
I’ll probably start working in more of these once it gets colder and I’d be too lazy to drive to my box.
