*I found my grip, I found my foot placement. Yeah, I had a few mishits but they were more than tolerable. I have to to an armbend since my gorilla arms prevent me from holding a not-so-wide grip.. until now. I tried 195# twice after these because I was feeling super spicy, but noooope! I‘ll take a 15# PR any day. You guys have no idea how long it’s been since I hit a snatch PR.. TOO LONG OVERDUE.
I think it’s safe to say that I’m pretty comfortable and have adjusted to my Romaleos now. :D
I wanna say I’m a lot more comfortable with these and I think my form’s looking okay.. But I don’t know if it’s ‘allowed’ to catch it in a power, and ride it down into the squat. Either way, I’m surprised my shoulders were able to handle it seeing how they’re always fucked up.
First real training session since the comp. last Saturday.
I just realized I have a slight elbow bend right before full hip extension.. Probably me being scared of hitting my still sore pubic bone. I need to drop way faster. I’m doing one of those semi-power into a squat snatch. -____-
The main problem I’ve always had is that I don’t fully open my hips on the jerk. The only time I felt like I actually did was on the 115#; the second jerk. That shit looked PRETTY.
